Questions:
Was Jeter's decision to begin a rebuild rather than build a team around the core of players they already had the wrong decision?
How should Aaron Boone use Judge and Stanton given that they are both rightfielders?
Is taking on such a large contract worth it for a Yankees team that is trying to win a World Series?
Will this trade encourage league and division rivals to step up and make bigger moves going into the Winter Meetings?

I think it was the wrong decision. The team he already had was looking to have a bright future. But then he traded away not only his best player, but one of the best players in the MLB. I don't think it was a smart trade by Miami.
ReplyDeleteI think Aaron Boone should use Judge and Stanton as left and right fielders or with one of them as the designated hitter. That way they can both play in the same game.
I think this trade is really good for the Yankees, even with the huge contract. The Yankees were supposed to be rebuilding this past season and ended up making the playoffs and being a strong contender. Now they are adding in one of the best players in the league. It should make for a very strong team.
This trade may encourage teams to step up and make bigger moves but they also need to have the money to do so.
